I was so sad to read of Ed's passing. Working with Dr. Westcott at the VA, I was impressed by his compassion and his drive to find solutions for his Pain Clinic patients. He will be missed.

I enjoyed working with Dr.Westcott at the VA hospital and always appreciated the way he treated our veterans and their families. He always enjoyed teaching and his compassion for the patients came through his work. He will be greatly missed.

As neighbors we got to know the Westcotts over the years. We always enjoyed talking with them. Ed was a very easy person to talk to and we loved his humor, his honesty and values and the down to earth attitude.
Ed and Carolyn would stop by and visit every now and then and it was always such a pleasure to sit and talk with them. We will miss the visits from the both of them but would like Carolyn to know she is welcome to stop by anytime, she is always welcome.
If there is anything that is needed please let us know,
Our deepest and most sincere condolences.

I had the great honor of working with Dr. Westcott at the VA hospital..He was always compassionate and caring, a true gentleman and excellent anesthesiologist. He provided loving care and pain management for a very close friend of mine Scott Stephens. It was a pleasure to know such a fine man, he will be missed. Dear Westcott family,

I will always remember Ed when we were on the Israel trip together many years ago. He and Carolyn treated me like their daughter on that trip. Ed was such a caring person and faithful man of God. He will be greatly missed. I am so grateful for having known him. Stacy Harshman

Carolyn, how very shocked I was when reading the paper to see my good friend had passed away. I always thought he would have been immortal. The 10 years I worked with him were some of my best years of working. We were very similar in thoughts and could so easily work together. It was like we would know what the other was thinking.
I can't get around very well. I need a walker to just cross a room which I hate. It limits what I can do and sitting for a hour or so becomes extremely painful and getting up is difficult. I would love to put my arms around you but all I can do is pray that Heavenly Father take you in His arms and comfort you and bless you with all the blessings of which you stand in need.
It is so difficult to lose a husband. Mine has been gone almost 9 years and I don't think it has gotten any easier. The 2 of you were as close as John and I were. It made our life wonderful but makes our parting so difficult. If you ever need to talk you can email me for my phone number and perhaps we can meet for lunch. God bless you so much, Carolyn.
