Douglas Milton Kackley

Douglas Milton Kackley: A man of incredible faith. 
It all began on September 14, 1955. Doug was born to Robert Shirl and Shirley Ann Kackley in Heppner, Oregon. He was one of seven children.
On June 24, 1978, Doug married the love of his life, Kathy Ann Becker. They had 3 wonderful children, Nathan Eugene, Timothy Andrew and Nikki Lea, and were blessed with 3 grandchildren, Lillie Rose Kackley, Maddison Ann Kackley and Coralynn Rene'e Kackley. Doug’s family was his life!
He was the ultimate provider for his family. After 28 years of 12-14 hour days, Doug decided to retire from Frito-Lay. Retirement allowed him to do what he really had a passion for which was refereeing youth football. Being a positive influence in those kid’s lives meant so much to him. To Doug, it was more than just reffing a football game it was an opportunity to impact someone’s life in a way that left a lasting impression. And he did just that! Everywhere he went, Doug knew someone. There was no such thing as a stranger to him. Any person he met provided him the opportunity to spread the word of God. 
Through it all, Doug kept a smile, a will and a faith that was unbreakable. On March 17, 2017, after a lengthy battle with cancer, God called him home. Heaven’s Army is much stronger now…
