Kristina Lynn Delisio
June 9, 1971 – December 2, 2017

Kristina “Kristie” was born in Boise, Idaho and adopted and raised by Mario and Karen Delisio. She was the oldest of 5 children and took loving care of her younger siblings, Christopher, Katrina, Angela, and Aaron. Later in life, Kristie was also joyously connected with her biological mother, Pearle Doherty, her sister Margo, and two brothers Billy and Duane. She was the beloved granddaughter of Charles and Mildred Wolfkiel and Patsy and Christine Delisio.
Growing up, Kristie attended schools in Eagle and Meridian, graduating in 1989. She has always enjoyed the outdoors and animals. She was a talented artist and especially enjoyed drawing horses. She had a special flair for decorating and loved rustic and western styles. She was a gifted singer, often blessing others with her voice at special events.
Kristie married Ryan Peterson and they have two amazing daughters, Grace and Claire, who attend Kuna schools. Kristie dearly loved them “to the moon and back” and lived her life passionately because of them. Her daughters describe her as an amazing mother and a wonderful friend. Kristie and Ryan later divorced but remained friends.
Kristie’s sense of humor may perhaps be one of her most notable qualities. She knew how to make the fun times even better and the difficult times bearable with her wit. Her laugh was contagious and full of joy. As a two-time cancer survivor, she found humor to carry her through it and other difficult life trials. It was a personal pillar for herself and one of her greatest gift to others.
In her final years, she invested in relationships with those for whom she cared. She became invested in her faith and committed her life to Jesus Christ through her baptism. As a believer, we know she is now with her Heavenly Father and is no longer troubled by worldly matters and instead, experiencing the glory of Heaven.
Kristie is survived by her beautiful daughters Grace and Claire; father Mario Delisio and mother Karen Delisio; two sisters Katrina and Angela, and two brothers Christopher and Aaron. She is also survived by her biological mother Pearle; sister Margo, and brother Billy. She is fiercely loved by all of her family and friends, and her bright spirit will be missed endlessly.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Eagle Christian Church, 100 Short Ln, Eagle, ID 83616. A light lunch will follow the service. Condolences and memories may be shared with Kristie’s family at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com
