Virgil R Tucker

November 27, 1923 ~ February 13, 2017 (age 93) 93 Years Old
Virgil Ray Tucker Sr. was born on November 27th, 1923 to Lewis and Blanche Tucker. On February 13th he passed away at the age of 93 at home in Middleton with his wife, Dorothy by his side. Virgil and Dorothy were married 64 years. They were each other’s strength and pride. More time than not, you would find them talking, laughing and holding hands. They raised their seven children with Godly values building a family that was strong, healthy and close. Virgil had placed his trust in God many years ago and now, is with Him.
Virgil was always a dedicated honest worker, and established a career in the construction. One of his first major jobs was to help build the Anderson Ranch Dam. His stories were full of humor, facts and amazement about how things used to be done. The vast knowledge he had acquired from his first jobs into the 80’s when he retired, was a true history lesson come to life. Many people benefited from working with him.
The people who knew him well will think of him with a smile, an occasional sting of loneliness, admiration, respect and thankfulness to have had him in their lives. His memory will only fade as the generations pass, but until then we will miss him and think of him often with a sense of a part of us is missing.
Virgil is survived by his wife Dorothy, children Linda (Ray) Thompson; Lewis (Lena) Tucker; Nancy (Samuel) Hill; Virgil Jr. (Julie) Tucker; Carole (Tom) Doramus; Kathy (Bob) Schmillen; Ross (Chris) Tucker, his three sisters; Louise, Violet and Linda Kay (Jr), 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Virgil was preceded in death by, his parents, sister Mary, brother Gary and his grandson David.
