Milton Ray Higgins born March 13, 1938 in Birmingham, Alabama to Louise and Milton Higgins. He passed peacefully on March 21, 2017 at 6:30 in the evening of natural causes. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29th at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Ray proudly served in the US Army. He married Rosita Lou Taylor and together they had 5 children. They later divorced, but remained good friends. She passed away in January of 2015. Ray lived in and around the Caldwell and Nampa areas for many years with family and friends. In his last few years he lived in Orofino to be near his oldest daughter and youngest son.
Ray is survived by his four children, Louise (Randy) Bohling of Orofino, Leslie (Nadine) Higgins of Middleton, Robert (Stephanie) Higgins of Orofino, and Rosie Marie Dilworth of Caldwell; and a sister, Hilda Dickerson of Windsor, CA.
He was preceded in death by his son, Raymond Higgins; three sisters, Gayle O'Tool, Carolyn Carter Townsend, and Sylvia Coons; and a granddaughter, Michelle Ann Bohling.
