Message from Denise Lefler, First Cousin to Leon
February 20, 2018 8:04 AM

Dearest Rita and Family,

My heart goes out to you and your family. It was a shock hearing about Leon's passing. I am so thankful to have known Leon. Unfortunately, living in WA State, we weren't able to visit Leon and Rita on a regular basis. I remember Leon at Grandpa & Grandma Maxwell's home in Wilder. He and our other cousins were always teasing the girl cousins and playing tricks on them. We'd laugh and laugh at each other. Those were the good ole' days and I have fond memories of it all.

God Bless you, Rita. I know Leon has been your rock for a very long time. It's hard to believe you've been together since high school. That's practically unheard of in today's world.

You're in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Love and Hugs,
Denise Lefler

Love and hugs to Rita and family at this difficult time. I have fond memories of my cousin Leon from when I was a youngster. He and Rita were so sweet to my sister, Denise and me. I’m glad he had a good long life.

Rita and family;
I am so sorry to learn of Leon's passing. He was such a good, hard-working, kind person that I grew up with in Wilder. I was proud to know him as a friend. My sincere sympathy goes out to Rita and her family for their loss.

My dad, my hero and the first man I ever loved. You wiped my tears, made me laugh, made me cry. You left an everlasting impression in my heart. I can't believe your gone. I am glad you are not suffering anymore, but you should of been here alot longer. You will never be forgotten and will be in my heart forever. I love you dad!!!
