Our condolences to the Family. Even after the split up between my mother and Gene, Gene and I stayed in touch. We got a long well and even up to a couple weeks ago when he informed me that he had found another fiancé which seemed to brighten him up.
We enjoyed our Silver City runs, Sumpter flea markets, sporting events with my kids, and our boat trips up and down the Columbia River. He was never without words and usually always had a smile on his face and a good word about almost everybody. I will miss our phone conversations.
Mitch

My dad (Everett Sperry) had a ranch just south of Gene down in Dixie. Dad and Gene would share at harvest time, cutting hay, chopping corn. Dad had many nice things to say about Gene. I remember his smile and laughter.
