Both Randy and I are speechless regarding Fred's passing. We always enjoyed getting together with you in years passed. Fred was such a gentleman towards you and seemed to be such a good
father to your daughter--real family guy. I will be calling soon to return your call from
several months ago. Special pray to you and your family.

Dennis and I are so saddened by the passing of Fred. I read the notice in the paper and at first it was disbelief! We really enjoyed getting to know your family through the years and our get- togethers in McCall. Dennis enjoyed his time and conversations with Fred. I know he will be missed! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all!
Love-Dennis and Kathy

Ellen and family, my sincerest condolences on Fred's passing. Even though it has been a long time since we have seen each other it sometimes seems such a short time ago that we all enjoyed our time together in Wilder. Ron Sali

I'm so saddened by cousin Fred's passing. I will always remember our family vacations in McCall. He kept us laughing, especially with the way he'd be with Doug. He knew how to keep smiles on our faces at gatherings, and I enjoyed his sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers go to Ellen, Laura & Annie.

I was very saddened when my daughter, Allyson, informed me yesterday of Fred's passing as she went to school with their daughter, Laura. I will never forget when Ellen and Fred purchased their current home in 1985 what a commotion it caused in town with people who were so curious of who had acquired it. Obviously it was the right decision by them as they are still residing there 32 years later. I loved telling Fred farmer jokes as he enjoyed a good hearty laugh even if it was at his professions expense. So long Fred, you were a great man and will be deeply missed by many including me.

My deepest sympathies for your loss Ellen and girls. I happened to be in Nampa when the notice was published, and was saddened by the news.

Although I have lived away from the Treasure Balley for 30 years now, I have fond of Fred from my days at Purple Sage Golf Club. He was always quick to tease or share a joke, but you knew if you needed a friend, some advice, or a favor, Fred was there for you.

A good man indeed!

My father Jose Delgadillo worked with Fred for over 20 yrs. I have many memories of fred and my father..the vineyard..the hops..the end of the hop season bbq at the wilder hop shed. But something that will forever stay with me is the bond they must have had. After retirement my father moved to Texas. Years later he passed. We post a small notice in the Idaho paper since he had resided in Idaho for most of his life. It was a very sad dark time for our family. We were so touched to receive a beautiful arrangement from Fred and Ellen Batt. After so many years had passed..it was heartwarming to know he appreciated my father as much as we did. Thank you to the Batt Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. God Bless

My condolences Ellen and family. So sorry. Fred was always fun to be around I have a lot of fond memories skiing with him and Norm. He will be missed.

A Ripple In Time
A new born's cry
Tearful last good bye
Swaying waves of golden prairie grass
Shifting desert dunes-an hour glass
An acorn dropping among forest leaves
To mighty oak-a lifetime of dreams
The changing moon- to full again
Each morn' the sun-new skies begin
Eagles soar high-our hearts go there
These ripples in time-we all share

What a lovely obituary--it sums up Fred's gruff, teddy bear personality. I will always remember how kind he was to my daughters when they were hanging about your house, and how he enjoyed teasing them. I am so glad I had the opportunity to know him. My life is a little richer because of that. Condolences and blessings to all of you.

A total shock leading to my intense sadness. We were friends for over 40 years. We will all miss Fred whose time here was too short. Our sincere condolences to Ellen and Fred's entire extended family. Peter Jensen
