Fama Ardelle Tackitt

March 20, 1924 ~ July 22, 2017 (age 93) 93 Years Old
Our angel on earth, Fama Ardelle Tackitt, age 93, was called home on July 22, 2017. Fama was born on March 20, 1924, to Waldo and Doris Northcut. She was delivered by her father on her grandparent's ranch at Moon Creek, Montana. At only two pounds at birth, her cradle was a shoebox filled with cotton. The family later moved to Miles City, where her brother Harold was born.
Starting with piano lessons at a young age, music became a big part of her life. She played for dances with her father in the Miles City Bluegrass Band. During her high school years, she played the trombone and also took singing lessons under Madame Lorenze. She was asked to sing for many different events and was invited to perform in the Metropolitan Opera in New York. In 1942, she married her high school sweetheart, James C. Patrick and moved to El Segundo, California. They were both employed by the North American Aviation Factory. She was very proud to have produced parts for the B-29 Super Fortress and the P-38 Lightning during WWII. To this union, four children were born; James, Gary, Sharon and Timothy Patrick. Her second marriage was to Elga Russell Tackitt in 1959. They were married for 40 years and shared a daughter, Doris Tackitt. In 1984, they moved to Wilder, Idaho.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. Everyone was welcome to visit in her home and never left hungry. The Golden Gate Baptist Church family was a very important part of her life. Her love of God filled her heart.
Fama was preceded in death by her mother and father, brother Harold, daughter Sharon, son Gary, and two grandchildren. She is survived by her son James Patrick (Linda), son Timothy (Linda May), daughter Doris Antonucci (Peter), 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2017, at the Golden Gate Baptist Church in Wilder. Condolences may shared with the family at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com.
