Weta "Sue" Forbes

Weta Sue Forbes (Matchen) was born on September 10, 1936 in Powell, Oklahoma. She was raised in Madill, Oklahoma, graduating from Madill High School in 1953. Sue married Robert L. Forbes of Denver, Colorado in 1954. They made their home in Denver where they welcomed three children, Sue Anne Holtz (Vince), Sheri Lynn Burke, and Robert Lee Forbes II (Joy). She was a devoted mother to her children, offering unwavering love, support, and guidance.
Sue moved to Nampa, Idaho in 1980 and worked at Zilog for many years until she retired. She spent her time in Caldwell and could be found rummaging through antique stores and stopping at every garage sale she came across. Many of us were recipients of the treasures she found. The one thing she enjoyed more than anything else was spending time with her family, playing games, and sharing a meal.
Her legacy extends beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Sue leaves behind six grandchildren, Brandon Johnson, Brittnai Johnson, Nicholas O’Bryant, Rachel Ross, Cierra Mercer, and Robert L Forbes III, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of cherished relatives and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Dakan Funeral Chapel. Viewing hours are between 5 and 7 p.m., April 2, 2024 at Dakan funeral Chapel.
