Wanda Aileen Collins passed away peacefully May 12, 2019 at Spring Creek Assisted Living Center in Fruitland, Idaho, where she currently resided.
She was born in Lewiston, Utah, to Henry James and Ada Flippence and at the age of nine moved to Idaho with her parents and siblings.
In 1938, Wanda married Dionisio (Johnny) Padilla and made their home in Parma, Idaho. They had eight children.
Wanda later married Lloyd Collins and moved to Pilot Rock, Oregon, where she worked at a sawmill for several years until she retired.
She enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, and her handmade craft. Wanda also enjoyed anyone who would stop by for a visit with her. Early on, the highlight of her days was as many trips to Walmart as she could convince her granddaughter Glenda to take her on. Chocolate was her favorite food.
She is survived by her remaining five children, Ronald Padilla, Johnny Padilla, Danny Padilla, Glenda Zimmerman, and Juanita “Nicki” Wong; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Wanda was preceded in death by her three sons, Roger Dean, Benjamen Douglas, and Jerry Lee Padilla; her parents; three brothers, Douglas Flippence, Jack Flippence, and Wallace Flippence; and sister, Zelda Henderson.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18th at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Condolences may be shared at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com
