Virginia Della Figueredo

Virginia was born at home in the Township of Yorkville, Illinois November 6, 1923 to Albert and Genevieve Gates. She graduated from high school in 1941 and attended College in Maryville, Tennessee, where she earned BA and in 1973 she earned a Master's Degree from Pepperdine University. She became an elementary school teacher and taught 2 years in Aurora, Illinois, and moved to Southern California and taught in Pomona, Redondo Beach and Torrance, retiring at 55. During that time, she and her husband Bob raised four children. She then spent 3 years selling real estate before moving to a small farm in Caldwell in 1982. In 2002 she moved into Caldwell, and later moved to Grass Valley, California before finally settling in Florence, Oregon.
Virginia is survived by her sons Tony and Albert Figueredo, her daughter Beth Klinghardt, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband Robert (Bob) Figueredo, son James Figueredo, and three great grandchildren.
