It is with deep sadness that Linda Gedde and her family announce the tragic passing of her son, Timothy Michael Gedde, on Sunday, August 8th, 2021, at the age of 47.
Tim is survived by his mother, Linda Gedde, older brother Kenneth Gedde, younger sister Maria Barbosa, and beloved nieces and nephews: Georgia Gedde, Lila Gedde, Harrison Gedde, Gustavo Barbosa Jr, and Isac Barbosa.
Tim was born in Portland, Oregon on August 21, 1973 to Linda and Stan Gedde. He spent his childhood hunting and fishing with many of his family members including his uncles, cousins, and grandparents accompanying him on many of these hunting trips. His mother enjoyed taking him, along with his siblings, fishing, camping, and crabbing on the coastlines of Oregon where he always had a smile on his face.
He graduated from Beaverton High School, Beaverton, Oregon in 1993. He followed in the family craft and became a 3rd generation welder where he specialized as a steel worker. He was always looking to further his skillset and spent time travelling and learning different techniques from places such as Florida all the way to Alaska. He spent his last 11 years as a steel worker in Idaho. He was also very skilled with his hands and could fix just about anything from house maintenance and construction to fixing the same truck his grandfather helped him get when he was still in high school.
Tim always had a passion for music and could be found playing on his drum set or many guitars in his spare time. He always found time to hang out and fish with friends. His childhood hobbies followed him into his adult life where he could be found with his uncles Bob and Jeff at their Elk hunting Camp or fishing with his mother or older brother. He loved taking his nieces and nephews on fishing trips to show them the kind of childhood he grew up on.
Tim loved the simple things in life, as long as he had a fishing pole, a beer, and some bait, he was happy.
Tim was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
