Thomas Edward Harris

Thomas Edward Harris, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather passed away on April 26th at the age of 78.  Born on March 31, 1940 to George and Mary Harris, at the age of 17 he joined the Navy and served for four years. Later that same year, he married his wife of 57 years, Jean Orvedahl, in California.  There they had their first son Gary. Soon after they moved to Parma ID, where two more children were born, Mike and Kristine.
Tom farmed the land with Jean for many years until his retirement, Tom and Jean enjoyed square dancing, round dancing and loved their motorcycle rides. He also enjoyed creating items out of wood that his friends and family continue to cherish. Tom was a grandpa to two granddaughters, Marcia and Julie, and one grandson Tyler.  He dearly loved his grandchildren, and they loved him more than anything.
Tom was a fighter from the beginning all the way through to the end. He was met in Heaven by his parents George and Mary Harris, sister Shirley Dee, and many other family members and beloved pets.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 4th at Lower Boise Cemetery, Parma.
