Sylvia Jean Gravelle, 73 of Caldwell, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 in Nampa of natural causes. Cremation is under the care of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Condolences may be shared at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com
Sylvia was born to Laurine Brockman and Ervin Sinclair on June 13, 1944. They had 3 other children Ray, Elizabeth and Roy. They later divorced and Laurine met Marvin Dewey in 1953. Marvin became their new "Daddy" and eventually they had 5 other children, Barbara (Nick), Sue, Patty (John), Penny, and Marline (Bill).
Sylvia graduated from Adam City High School in June of 1963 and married Leo John Bannon on June 8, 1963. They lived in Commerce City and Thornton, Colorado, where they had 5 children, John, Ebben, Anna, Sonya, and Micky. Sylvia later moved her family to Cheyenne, Wyoming. She and Leo divorced in February of 1988.
Sylvia met Joseph Gravelle and moved to Upper Jay, New York. They were married in 1992 and divorced in 2004. She went back to Colorado for a few years and came to Idaho in 2010. She loved her cats and being outside during those warm months. She loved being around and enjoying her family.
Sylvia is survived by 4 children, John (Janna) Bannon, Anna (John) Moser, Sonya (Bobby) McDaniel, and Micky Bannon; 7 grandchildren, Luke, Ebonnie, Anthony, Jason, Staccie, Levi, and Heather; 19 great-grandchildren; and 7 siblings.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her mother, Laurine Dewey and daddy, Marvin Dean Dewey; father, Ervin Sinclair; son, Ebben Bannon; sister, Penny Miller; and her great-grandson, Drake Alexander Lee Moser.
