Ronald Eugene Young

Ronald E. Young was born on October 28, 1950 in Nampa, Idaho to Earl Sr. and Louise Young. Ron was reared and educated in Caldwell, Idaho.
In 1968, he married Laurie Rasmussen and they later divorced in 1978. In 1982, he met his soul mate Debbie and they married in 1989.
Ron worked for several trucking companies retiring in 2007 from J.R. Simplot Trucking. His time away from work was spent working on and building cars. After his retirement he built and worked on computers.
In 2007, Ron and Debbie sold their house and went fulltime RV’ing. They spent 5 years hosting a campground for Idaho State Park. After 10 years, the RV really felt so small, so they bought another house in Notus where they enjoyed the peace and quiet.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; two sons, Michael and Ronnie; brothers, Earl Jr. and Richard; sister, Merry Smith; daughter-in-law, Debbye Hughes; brother-in-law, Jim Smith.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna Young and Tara (Blake) Johnson, Vickie (Greg) Kuper; sons, Shawn (Angie) Young, Tracy (Lory) Fish and Shayne Hughes; sister in laws, Gay and Marie Young; 22 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and one on the way, several nieces and nephews.
A very special thank you to St. Luke’s Hospice especially his nurse Mikki, Kathryn and Tami for all your loving care you gave to our loving husband and father his last three months of life.
A celebration of life will be held late spring or early summer. The date and location are yet to be determined, they will be updated as the time and place is decided.
