Ronald Van “Ron” Crawford, 74, of Caldwell, Idaho, passed away Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020.
He was married to the former Ruth L. (Fischer), who survives. They celebrated 34 years as husband and wife this August.
Ron was born on Jan. 24, 1946 in Tucson, AZ, and was the son of the late Patsy Gene Phillips (Davis) of Tucson, AZ. He graduated from Rincon High School and then served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam war.
He graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Accounting and a minor in psychology and became a CPA in Arizona. He volunteered for the Humane Society of Idaho.
In addition to his wife, Ruth, he is survived by two daughters, Laura Sheinin (Crawford) of Phoenix, AZ, and Jennifer Lyon (Clarke) of West Fargo, ND; and two sons, Ronald Van Crawford II of Scottsdale, AZ, and Brian Clarke of Phoenix, AZ; and eleven grandchildren. He was also survived by his two fur babies, Annie and Maggie.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14, at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, 504 S. Kimball Ave, Caldwell, ID 83605. Military honors are to be provided.
