Roland Thomas Buus

Roland "Buck" Thomas Buus, 83 of Caldwell, passed away Sept 23, 2021.
Buck was born March 20, 1938 to Edward and Rachel (Eckhardt) Buus in Breckenridge, MN. Buck served in the US Navy , on the USS IOWA and the aircraft carrier the USS LEYTE.
He married Lucille Zietlow on Sept 1, 1960 at Immanuel Lutheran church, Wahpeton, ND. They lived in Fergus Falls, MN for 9 years, where their 3 children were born. In 1969 they moved to Boise, ID where Buck worked for Harris Lumber and for Idaho Truss. He worked for the Boise School district as a janitor until he retired. He then moved to Caldwell where he enjoyed his retirement fishing with his best friend Bill.
Buck is survived by his wife Lucy of 61 years. His daughter Janelle (Shawn) Fitzpatrick of Meridian; his son Neil (Yvonne) Buss of Nampa and his son David (Deborah) Buss of Kuna. 11 Grand children and 6 great grand children. His siblings: His sister Diane (James) Scheer of Vergus, MN; sister Virginia (Clark) Fluto of Wynmere, ND and his brother Patrick (Maria) Connolly of Reno, NV.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; his step father Louis Connolly and one grandson Deken Marmon.
He will be missed by all his friends at Faith Lutheran, Caldwell ID.
Funeral services will be held at Dakan Funeral Chapel on October 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m..
