Robert Harry Madison Jr

April 10, 1967 ~ January 30, 2018 (age 50) 50 Years Old
Robert Harry Madison, Jr. passed away peacefully at home with his mother Doris, father Don, and sister Sheryl at his side.
Rob was born April 10, 1967 to Doris and Robert Madison, Sr. in Camden, New Jersey. His mother moved him and his older sister, Sheryl back to Idaho when he was one year old. He went to elementary and high school in Caldwell and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1985. After high school, he completed one year at Boise State University. He worked at J.R. Simplot Company for 10 years. Rob traveled to many places in the years following working at Simplot. Australia, Washington, Oregon and Tennessee were a few of the many. He moved back to Idaho in 2016 to be close to family.
Rob had a passion for drawing and was very good at it. He also loved playing games with friends, listening to music and as Rob put it, “watching the world go by.” He was a friend to many and was always there to give you the shirt off his back. Many of the friends he made were part of his gaming world and he considered them family. He always told friends and family to “Drive Careful” when leaving. He loved life and lived it to the fullest when he was able towards the end. Even to the end, he always worried about his mom and sister. After Rob became ill, he enjoyed being with friends and family, reading, watching tv and listening to music. Sheryl and Rob spent a lot of time together talking about everything up until the end.
After a short stay in the hospital, Rob went home to his apartment with Heart and Home Hospice.
Rob is survived by his parents, Don and Doris Penner of Caldwell; his sisters, Sheryl (Kirk) Pugsley of Caldwell, Angie (Bryan) Zerger of Kansas and Tanya Madison of New Jersey; his brothers, Steve (Karen) Penner of Weiser and Brian Madison of New Jersey; 15 nieces and nephews; his special friend, Kristi Evans of Caldwell; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; wife, Maggie Madison (separated) of Iowa and many Facebook/gaming friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
A special thank you to the staff of Heart 'n Home Hospice in Caldwell who went over and above in their care of Rob, especially Shay and Jodi. And a thank you to the staff at St. Luke’s RMC in Boise.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart 'n Home Hospice in Rob’s name.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 24th at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell. Rob wished to be cremated and his ashes will be buried with his mother upon her death.
