Richard Paul Comstock “Dick”, 81, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 5th 2020 with his family by his side.
He was born on October 1, 1938 to Paul and Gladys Comstock and raised in Nampa by Walter and Marybelle Jones. Dick graduated from Nampa High in 1956, after graduating he decided to join the Navy, where he proudly served his country and spent some time in the Mediterranean on a refueling ship. When Dick returned to civilian life, he began working for the Canyon County Sheriff’s office for which he served many years before he retired.
He enjoyed many hobbies; horseback riding, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and any time he could spend in the great outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his wife and love of his life Gloria, his father and mother Paul and Gladys, daughter Liana, sister Nancy and niece Robin.
He is survived by his daughter Jaylene, granddaughter Rene, great-grandsons; Kaden, Blake, Warren, Jay, and Lyle; great-granddaughter Karlee; sisters; Ruth, Mary Jane, Donna, Sharon, Marilyn, and Paula; his Brother Bill, and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be from 5-8 pm on Thursday March 12, at Dakan Funeral Chapel. Grave side services will be at 11am on Friday March 13th at the Greenleaf Cemetery.
