Sid Hickman

Ralph Sidney “Sid” Hickman, 69 of Caldwell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at home with his family at his side. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30th at 10:30 a.m. at the LDS Church on Farmway Rd, Caldwell under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to services in the Relief Society room. Burial will follow services at Parkview Cemetery, New Plymouth. Sid was born at Eugene, Oregon, on September 1, 1948. He was the 4th of 4 boys born to Voy William and Blanch (Arbon) Hickman. Sid graduated from Reedsport High School in Reedsport, Oregon, and later received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University. He pursued further education in orthotics and prosthetics at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
Sid is survived by his wife, Mary Hickman of Caldwell; their 5 children, Kristofer Hickman, Jonathan Hickman, and Andrew Hickman all of Caldwell, Patrick Hickman and family of Louisa, VA, and Katie Hickman of Salt Lake City, UT; 3 grandchildren, Jared Hickman (who is serving an LDS mission), Malia Hickman, and Ruby Hickman; 2 brothers, Steve Hickman of Hermiston, OR, and Jack Hickman of Beaverton, OR; and numerous nieces and nephews.
