Pamela Sue Sharp, 75, passed away peacefully after a lengthy struggle with Cirrhosis of the Liver, on May 25, 2019, at The Orchards of Cascadia in Nampa, Idaho where she most recently resided.
Pamela was born on April 10, 1944 in Richmond, Indiana to Hannah June Walker Burns and Harry Virgil Burns. She attended school in Indiana, Florida and Nebraska.
She married William Franklin Colgrove in 1963. They were married for several years and had three children. After their divorce, she followed one of her sisters and mother to Tucson, AZ where she met John B. Sharp and they were married in 1976. He was stationed at Elmendorf, AFB in Alaska, where they lived for five years and had two more children together. In the early 80’s they moved to Idaho, where John’s family resided. In 1982, they landed in Caldwell, Idaho where Pam would live for most of the rest of her life. She also lived in Ontario, OR for a few years before she retired from Apartment Management; as well as spending a few years in Nampa, ID. Most recently she lived at Friendship Manor, in Caldwell, until her health issues required her to be transferred to a nursing home in December of 2018.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Maria, granddaughter, Hannah June Ehrbar, great granddaughter, Kyrstin Bone and great grandson, Kayden Bone.
She is survived by her sister, Sheila Vassos (Tom), her children, Frank Sharp (Kristi), George Sharp (Sam McKee), Heather Sharp (Jay Kuntz), May Sharp (Brandon Bowles) and John B. She also left behind two very dear friends, Sue Patrick and Daniel Ramierez, who have been by her side with love and laughter at countless times during her recent medical challenges.
She was a loving Daughter, Sister, Mother, MomMa and Friend to anyone she encountered! She spent her retirement years with neighbors & friends watching BSU Football and Mariner’s Baseball. She was an earnest reader and enjoyed crocheting blankets for friends, family and especially her grandchildren. She was active periodically with the LDS Church and fulfilled many callings, including Librarian, when she was able to do so. She fervently enjoyed visits from family and friends in recent months and years, as she became more and more home-bound.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask that donations be made to The Orchards of Cascadia, 404 N. Horton St., Nampa, ID 83651, 208-466-9292. Their staff and medical professionals were beyond phenomenal during Pam’s stay with them. Each and every person who cared for her stopped by her room during her last week to say their good-byes and share with us their tender stories about how they got to get to know our Mother during her time there. She was loved and cherished by many and will be greatly missed. Until we meet again, Pam, watch over us all and enjoy your new Heavenly home and perfect health!
