N.R. “Bob” Addington passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, on the evening of Friday, October 30, 2020. He was born to Jesse Edward and Sadie Pearl (Cannon) Addington on June 3, 1942, in Alturus, California. He was the youngest of 8 children that survived.
Bob joined the Navy in June of 1960 where he served his country proudly for several years.
He moved to Salmon, Idaho, where he met & married the love of his life, Alice McDonald, in January of 1970. They had two children, Bill & Jessi. He worked on cattle ranches and did row crop farming for many years before he started driving semi-trucks in 1975. In 1995 he and Alice started “hot shotting” and delivered loads all over the lower 48 states. Diabetes took his sight in 2002 and he had to give up driving.
Bob had several bouts of illness for the past 8 ½ year and by the grace of God made it through every single one. He finally succumbed to the effects of diabetes on his entire system and is now in heaven no longer in his crippled body. Praise Jesus!
Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alice Addington; his son, Bill Addington; his daughter and son-in-law, Todd & Jessi (Addington) Sams; brother, Ray Addington; sister, Alfreda Clark; along with several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
