Neila Marceia Holcomb

Neila (Altig) Holcomb, 94, of Nampa, Idaho passed away Sunday March 7, 2021. She was born in Reliance, South Dakota on April 14, 1926 to George Leslie Altig and Susie (Van Schoonhoven) Altig. In 1936 her mother, two brothers and a sister moved to Caldwell, Idaho where she was raised.
She went to school in the Caldwell area and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1944.
She married Clark Holcomb on June 2, 1945. They farmed in the Pleasant Ridge community and she was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Community Club.
She loved Angus cattle and they were members of the Boise Valley Angus Association.
Clark and Neila were pork producers, raising fat hogs (farrow to finish).
They enjoyed travel and the back roads of Idaho. In later years they raised and rode Peruvian Paso horses.
Due to Clark’s illness they sold the farm and moved to Nampa. A few years later Clark passed away.
Neila was a devoted wife and mother.
Neila is survived by two sons, Darel (Lois) Holcomb, Dennis (Christy) Holcomb; granddaughters,Jennifer Holcomb, Adriene Holcomb, Kimberly (Scott) Kahre, Hailey (Ryan) Kahre; nine great grandchildren; step grandson, Shawn (Michelle) Jones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, a baby daughter, two brothers, a sister and their spouses.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a local animal shelter or animal rescue program of your choice.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Caldwell, Idaho.
