Milton Joseph Boden II

October 5, 1963 ~ September 13, 2021 (age 57)

Milton J Boden II (Jake) left this worldly place on September 13th, 2021. Sadly for us all his heart was just not strong enough to keep going, however we rejoice in the fact that he went to his new heavenly home to be with the Lord. He suffered a massive heart attack at home before leaving for work at Thueson Construction in Nampa, Idaho where he was excited to be using his CDL driving skills.
Jake was born to Milton (Tex) and Pauline (Polly) Boden in Lisbon, Portugal on October 5th, 1963. His Dad, Tex, gave him his nickname before he was born from the lyrics of a popular song at the time – “I won’t go hunting with you Jake, but I’ll go chasing women”. Who knew how true that would be, everyone knew how Jake loved his women friends. He was a true and loyal friend, never met a stranger and was known for his infectious laugh and his twinkling brown eyes.
Jake spent his first 3 years in Portugal while his Dad was employed by American Bridge, a division of US Steel, while building the Salazar Bridge (later to be renamed the 25th of April Bridge). Jake was a toe head curly hair blonde child that was a delight to his family, always laughing and as mischievous as they come. As he grew older his ability to tell a story and keep you laughing was something none of us will forget anytime soon.
He lived in Lancaster, CA until 1973 and moved to Oakdale CA with his parents where he lived until he recently moved to Idaho to be with his sister JoAnn and family. He attended Valley Home grade school and Oakdale HS. He was a star catcher in his younger years and it was his love for baseball that gave him his love for sports. The Dallas Cowboys and the Raiders were his favorite football teams. Jake began playing Golf several years ago but when he moved to Idaho he really began to hone his game. He was proud to be a member of the Idaho Golf Association and played in several local tournaments. He credits the fact he was able to win a few “skins” every now and then when playing with the Fairview guys to the pointers from Slade Weston and Kelly Hoffman. Thank you guys for giving Jake those good times!
Jake had several ups and downs in his life but his time in Idaho were to be his happiest in many years. When he made the move to Idaho he set and met every goal he made for himself. He recently had a new smile, new car and a great job. His last weeks were even happier when he and Gracie (his 4 legged love of his life) settled in their new home. He dreamed of shoveling snow and skiing this next Idaho winter.
Jake was preceded in death by his parents and many family members, aunts, uncles and cousins. Jake leaves behind his sisters Sandie LaMantia, (Nancy Jateff) of Edwardsville, IL, Jo Ann Lowe (David) of Caldwell ID, John Boden (Vicki) of Fort Worth, TX, BJ Kelly (Tweetie) of Oakdale, CA, Debbie Winkhaus (Steve) of New River AZ, Barbara Reece of Oakdale, CA, along with Teri Maher (Brian) of Moretown, VT, Grace Sadowski (Kurt) of Wylie, TX and Aaron Lowe (Adena), of Star Idaho and his special 4 legged companion of many years, Gracie who was the love of his life plus a multitude of great friends too numerous to mention but you all know who you are.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Oakdale, CA at Kerr Park on Sunday, October 3rd from 11:00 – 1:00 PM. Graveside Services will be at Wilder Cemetery, October 5th, 1:00 PM.
