Michelle Lynn Zerger was born March 21, 1989 in Newton Kansas and departed her earthly body on August 27, 2023.
Michelle was raised in Moundridge Kansas and graduated high school with the class of 2007. She then moved to Idaho after numerous trips to visit family throughout her life as that's where her mom grew up. Her grandparents became her substitute parents for quite a time.
As a child, she loved camping and fishing with her family, which continued into her adult life in Idaho. Lucky Peak became one of her favorite places to go as well as places like Cascade and McCall. She dearly loved the mountain life and various places to fish that Idaho provided. Some of her ashes will be spread at Lucky Peak. She also loved to work out at the gym.
After moving to Idaho, she entered cosmetology school with intentions of pursuing that career. She then decided that occupation was not for her. She continued on with becoming a registrar for various medical groups including Caldwell Memorial Hospital Emergency Services continuing in that field for quite some time. Eventually, she decided to go into retail sales, as Michelle had the personality to excel in this field. She loved 90's country music. Shania Twain was her favorite, barely edging out the Dixie Chicks. She loved the outdoors. When she was a young teen, she once brought home a huge snake to keep as a pet. She would drop everything she was doing to catch a snake even into her adult life. All of her life she was a true fisher! She would cast for hours until she caught one, then when she did, she would brag about it until the next day. She loved the mountains, sunsets, rodeos, the Oregon coast, hot springs, ice festivals and all the friends and family who she enjoyed these types of things with. Michelle absolutely loved cats! She once said that she will surely end up dying as “the old cat lady” some day. She loved her boy Peanut.
Michelle is survived by her parents Bryan and Angie Zerger, siblings Kyle (Mily) Zerger, Tammy (Jake) Diehl and Tyler Green. Uncles Steve (Karen) Penner, Bill (Carol) Zerger. Aunts Brenda (Jeff) Childs and Sheryl (Kirk) Pugsley. Nephews Parker and Noah Green, Dalton and Logan Zerger. Niece's Jaidyn Bogren, Karley Diehl and Macie Diehl, and several cousins. She was married to Jacob Moran and had two step daughters Alaina and Macy.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Don and Doris Penner, Marjean and Ralph Stucky, Jim Zerger and Hazel Penner. Uncle Robert Madison and baby cousin Amelia Archer.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation and viewing on Thursday, September 7th from 5-7pm then services on Friday September 8, 2023 at 11am at Dakan Funeral Home in Caldwell, Idaho with a lunch to follow. Services will be live streamed at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com. There will also be a celebration of life for family and friends of Michelle in Kansas at a date to be determined.
