Matthew Lee Elliott was born on April 16th, 1990 in Lewiston, Idaho. He passed away suddenly on September 27, 2019 of a heart attack at his home. He was so young and taken away from us way too soon. Matt could lighten a room up with his smile. He was always such a happy person, if you were down Matt had a way to put a smile on your face and lift you up.
Matt was a hard worker he worked on the oil fields and he was a snubber. He missed home so much he came back home to work. He started a job at Western Specialty owned by Dee and Brenda Pickett located in Middleton, Idaho. He loved working there and thought of them as his family. Janice, Dick, Roy, and Sheriff were all amazing people.
Matt loved working on cars with his dad at Elliott’s Auto Repair. Matt and his dad, John, were building Matt’s 72’ Chevy Cheyenne and his 1969 Chevy Camaro Yenko. Matt loved going to car shows, camping, fishing and motorcycle riding.
Matt loved hanging out with his mom n’ dad. They were his best friends and they did everything together. Matt’s true love was his dog, princess Nala they were inseparable.
Matt loved to BBQ on his new traeger, so we nicknamed him Matt Foreman. He would have cook-offs with our neighbors, Philip and Susie Batton that he loved and became very close to. Matt always said that Susie made the best potato salad in the state of Idaho. He could not get enough of it, and she spoiled him by bringing him the leftovers. So Philip would have to come over and ask Matt for some.
Matt is so loved and will be missed he is survived by his dad, John Elliott, the number one mom, Kerry Elliott; his brothers, Chris Garrett, Travis Dearmond, little sisters; Syvanna Elliott, Lora McLaurin and too many friends and family to list that cherished him.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Grace Bible Church, 1415 Lone Star Rd., Nampa, Idaho.
