MaryAnn Reimer Flaming, age 90, went to be with our Lord and Savior on May 3rd, 2022. MaryAnn was born on September 89th, 1931 in Dallas Oregon to Anna and Peter Reimer. Maryann was the youngest of four children. She attended Perrydale Schools in Polk County Oregon. She played volleyball and basketball. In her Junior year she met Lyle Flaming. She Graduated in 1948. She then went to Pacific University for a year. She married Lyle Flaming at the age of 19. They settled in Airily Oregon where they had two sons, Douglas and Dwight. They then moved to Stockton, California and lived and worked on a Cattle Ranch. She stayed home working fulltime as a mother. They moved to Fresno, California, pregnant and overdue, she went to visit her folks in Oregon. She had her first daughter, Meliah, there in Salem, Oregon. She returned to Fresno and three years later had her fourth child Dion. They moved again to Idaho and farmed in Middleton, Star & Eagle. At this time, MaryAnn had her fifth and final child...Michelle. They lived in a house next to the construction site of the new I-84 freeway. They moved back to Fresno and lived there for two more years. In 1967, they moved back to Idaho and stated there. Mom was diagnosed with cancer. She should have died, but her Faith in Christ healed her. MaryAnn also won the fight against West Nile Virus, Transverse Mellitus, and multiple bouts of Pneumonia.. MaryAnn was in fact a living miracle. She worked as a Nurse’s assistant, teacher’s aide, restaurant owner, farmers’ wife, and manager of all things. She loved working as a 4-H leader in California and Idaho. She also volunteered as a counselor and head cook at the Baptist Church camp. She also was head cook at Daystar/Faith Heights. She loved the kids and devoted her life as a foster parent, school aide, youth group leader, and many other ways. MaryAnn lived at Streamside Assisted Living. Then she lost her Husband while there. She also lived at Autumn Winds, Grace Assisted Living, and lastly at Cascadia of Nampa. All who met her loved her and was considered a special friend. Preceding her in death are her parents Anna and Peter, her sister Dora May, her brothers Eugene (Sue) William, her husband Lyle, her son Dwight, her daughter-in-law Ronda Sue, and multiple grand children. She is survived by her son Douglas (Holly), daughter-in-law Lynn Flaming Bus, Daughter Meliah (Allen), son Dion (Debbie), and her daughter Michelle (Bob) Also 12 Grandchildren and 20 great Grand Children. All were extremely loved.
