Martin J Peterson

Martin J. "Pete" Peterson Jr, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 7, 2021.  He was 87 years old.  Pete was born June 26, 1934 in Hood River, Oregon, to Martin and Mabel Peterson.  Pete was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served from 1957 to 1959 at Fort McPherson in Georgia.
 
Pete was a retired Kings County employee, where he worked from 1962 until his retirement in 1996.  He retired as an Engineering Technician II.  He was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Armona, California from the time of his salvation in 1967, until his move to Idaho.  At the time of his passing, he was a member of Centennial Baptist Church in Caldwell, Idaho.
 
Pete is survived by his wife of 19 years, Paulene Peterson, as well as his children Dave Peterson, Tim Peterson, Brenda May, and his stepchildren Valerie English and Bobby Barnes along with 26 grandkids, 24 great grandkids, 2 great-great grandchildren and his beloved dog, Penny.
 
Pete was proceeded in death by his parents, Martin and Mabel Peterson, a sister, Barbara Haslam, and his wife of 34 years Louise Peterson.
 
Pete's memorial service will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, Boise Idaho on April 1, 2022 at 11:00am.
