Margaret (Maggie) Rose Kelley, 83 of Caldwell, died peacefully at home with her family at her side on Friday, December 29th, 2017.

Margaret was born on January 15, 1934 in Hamlin, Kansas to Emmett and Bessie Yocum. She graduated from Wilder High School. On December 16, 1951 Margaret married her high school sweetheart Charles Kelley. To their union were born three loving children, Nancy, Gary, and Marty.

She worked as a grocery clerk for multiple stores including Charley’s Market, Super Save Market and R&B Markets in Caldwell. Margaret touched the lives of many and she loved spending quality time with family. She was a faithful Boise State fan and other college football and basketball teams. She loved listening and tapping her feet to bluegrass music. She also loved fishing and trips to Jackpot.

Maggie was preceded in death by parents, Emmett and Bessie Yocum; her sisters, Lucille Robinett and Dorothy Hardin of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; and brother, Wayne Yocum of Nampa.

Loved ones left behind are her 3 children, Nancy Kelley Garrett of Nampa, Gary Kelley and wife, Valerie of Caldwell, and Marty Kelley and girlfriend, Karen Giardina of Caldwell; her sister, Shirley Yocum of Mtn. View, California; and brother Jim Yocum and wife, Jeanine of Mtn. Grove, Missouri. Maggie was blessed with four grandchildren, Tania (Garrett) Blythe and husband Rich, Jake Kelley and mom Gay Payne, Amanda (Kelley) Cobisky and Jennifer (Kelley) Doramus and husband Smoky. She was also blessed with 6 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the Park Place Assisted Living staff and the caring Hospice staff and a special thank you to her care nurse Lavonne Meeks and Chaplain Steve Fine.
