Lorraine Williams

Lorraine Williams, age 82, of Meridian, died on February 26, 2018. Lorraine was born on March 22, 1935 to Jacob and Nona Fischer of Nyssa, Oregon. After graduating from Nyssa High School in 1953, she attended Link’s School of Business in Boise for nine months. She married in 1956 and to that union three children were born. They divorced in 1980. Desiring to become a school teacher, Lorraine attended BSU from 1969-1972 graduating with a degree in Business Education. She taught for the State of Idaho for three years and then was employed by the Boise School District assigned to Capital High School where she taught for 22 years. She retired in 1998. Lorraine met Richard “Dick” Williams in 1997, and he captured her heart with his sense of humor and dancing feet. They married in 1998 and five years later built a home in Garden Valley, Idaho where they lived for eight years. In 2013 they moved to Meridian.
She is survived by her husband, Dick Williams; and two children, Greg Godfrey of New Hampshire and his three children, Ben, Joe, and Aaron, Louise and son, Mason; Sharla (Greg) McClean of Ontario, OR and their children, Jake (Katie) McClean, and Jenna (Matt) Mejia and their daughters, Aislee and Haddie; two grandchildren, Cassandre Moore (Ryan Sand) and Ryan Moore; step-son, Randy (Susan) Williams of Payette, ID and their five children. Also surviving Lorraine is one aunt, Larea Lefler, of Royal City, WA; and many awesome cousins.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her daughter, Colette Godfrey Moore.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14th at Parkview Christian Church, 201 W Ustick Rd, Meridian, ID 83646.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be sent to the Idaho Humane Society or a Boys and Girls Club of your choice.
