Linda Lou (long) Johnson, 76, of Caldwell Idaho, died August 2, 2019 with her family by her
side. She was born December 2, 1942 in Kearney Nebraska daughter of Waynard E.
Hollenbeck and Meredith Valdene (Samp) Hollenbeck.
Linda loved to sing and sang in her church choir and with various gospel trios in the past.
She was passionate about animals and was devoted to her dog. She rode horses in her
youth in the hills near Cascade Idaho. Later she also rode her horse in the tri-cities of
Washington. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens. She enjoyed travelling and spent
parts of the winters in Arizona and recently to Israel and Jordan.
Linda worked as a secretary on the startup of the Boeing 747 program, and also at the
nuclear power plant in Richland Washington. She was a member of Deer Flat Free
Methodist Church and attended services, Sunday School and a weekly life Group.
She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Ray long. She is survived by her
husband, Lynn Johnson of Caldwell, Idaho; her son Jeff long (wife Jamie) of Campbell, CA; brother Dan Hollenbeck (wife Donna) of Allyn WA; sister Bernadine Milburn
(husband Dave) of Caldwell, ID. She was especially close to her granddaughters Makena
and Lexi Long and her nephew Todd Hollenbeck.
Viewing hours will be between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2019 at Dakan Funeral Chapel. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Deer Flat Free
