LARRY WAYNE LAKE, 70, of Emmett, died peacefully at home with family on May 9, 2022. Larry, the eldest of three children, and only son, was born January 21, 1952 in Ontario, OR to Wayne George Lake and Dorthy Estella Shaner. After the military, Larry spent his time helping family and friends work on their vehicles, traveling, fishing, and enjoying as much of life as possible. Larry married Sharon Jean Hoelzer in 1981, later divorcing, but he maintained his relationship with Bob and Calvin, whom he proudly referred to as his boys. Larry married Cindy Marlene Story in 2006 and added Heather and Hilary to his family. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, music, and spending time with his family and friends. Larry was a lot of things to a lot of people and he was deeply loved by those who called him son, brother, dad, uncle, papa and friend.

Fisherman’s Prayer
I pray that I may live to fish
Until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's great landing net
And peacefully asleep
That in His mercy I be judged
Big enough to keep.
