LaNora Ann Driskell

LaNora Ann Driskell, 96, of Parma, passed away of natural causes Friday, June 15, 2018 at Meadow View Nursing and Rehabilitation facility in Nampa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 22nd at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Reverend Jerry Thomas will officiate and burial will follow at the Wilder Cemetery, Wilder. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening, June 21st at Dakan Chapel. Condolences may be shared at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com

Lanora was born June 11, 1922 to Cora Ann and Harley Edgar Hicks in Dora, Missouri. She married Charley Driskell on November 14, 1937. On October 26, 1941, she gave birth to their son, J.E. They moved to Wilder in 1953 and in 1974 they built their home in Parma.

A consummate mother and homemaker, LaNora was an amazing cook and took pleasure in making meals for loved ones. She cared for her many nieces and nephews and enjoyed day trips, crossword puzzles and dining out with her friends and family.  

LaNora was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Charley Driskell; their son, J.E. Driskell; her sister, Ruby Bonnell; her brother, Glenn Hicks; and her niece, LaNeva Sorrell.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be made to Parma Fire and Rescue, 29200 US-95, Parma, ID 83660.
