Tribute

Mr Lloyd Lynn Miller, passed through the veil and into the next life on Saturday, September 22nd at 2:35pm. Lynn is the son of Lloyd Lewis Miller Jr. and Alta Miller and was born October, 25th 1946, at Saint Anthony Mercy Hospital in Pocatello Idaho. Lynn was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he served faithfully in numerous church callings ranging from Scout Master, Young Men’s President, Elders Quorum President, 1st Counselor in the Bishopric and a Stake High Council Member. He was a graduate of Highland High School in 1965 where he played football, was in the marching band and marched in the Rose Bowl Parade in 1963 as a sophomore at Pocatello High School. He then attended BYU and played on their football team for a brief period before obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Idaho State University. He was employed at Farm Bureau Insurance Company as a Regional Claims Manager and retired in 2006 after 32 years of service.

He was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Barbara V Miller, on October 29th, 1966 in Elko Nevada and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple in April 1968. In October of 2016 they celebrated 50 years of marriage and devotion to each other. Together they raised 4 boys, Jeffrey Warren Miller (St George, Utah), Jason Bradley Miller (Greenleaf, Idaho), Jerod Lea Miller (San Tan Valley, Arizona) and one foster son from the church Indian Placement Program, Adrian James Ireland (Cannon Ball, North Dakota).

Lynn knew no strangers, often striking up conversations with complete strangers and would often treat them like long lost friends. He was truly a kind and gentle man that treated others with courtesy, love and respect and as a result he has many wonderful friends and family member who will miss him dearly. He gave of his time, talent and resources freely to so many but especially his dear wife and sons whom he loved so very much.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Lloyd and Alta Miller and a foster son Adrian Ireland. He is survived by his dear wife Barbara Victoria Miller; brother- LaVell Miller; sister- Leone Lee; three sons-Jeffrey, Jason and Jerod Miller; three nieces and three nephews- Robin Raso, Annette Brooks, Rebecca Demos, Richard Lee, Robert Lee and Ryan Lee; 15 grandchildren- Hillary Miller, Mallory Duff, Lauren Miller, Skylar Miller, Faith Miller, Elisabeth Miller, Madilyn Swan, Tanner Miller, Brayden Miller, Ashley Miller, Ryland Miller, Zachary Miller, Stephen Miller, Cade Miller and Hailey Brawley.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., September 29, 2018 at the Roosevelt LDS Church, 11288 Roosevelt, Nampa, Idaho 83686
