Kevin Timothy West

October 28, 2001 ~ February 24, 2019 (age 17) 17 Years Old

Tribute

Kevin Timothy West passed away Sunday Feb 24, 2019 at the age of 17 due to complications from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He loved his brothers; they shared an unbreakable bond. Kevin and Michael spent many days watching Youtube, playing video games, listening to music, watching TV, sharing laughs and making memories as brothers do.
Given his limited abilities to interact with the world, Kevin found solace in his social media community with others around the world, sharing artistic creations, ideas and even watching movies together. Kevin really enjoyed playing Xbox. His favorite game being Sonic the Hedgehog. Kevin could tell you anything about Sonic, including what song was being played to what game and what level including which character. If it was Sonic, he knew it. When not on his Xbox, you could find him on his Ipad. Kevin found humor in everything, from the big changes in his life to the everyday mundane tasks; he was always cracking jokes and making those around him laugh. He made a huge impact on so many people including his Facebook family.
Kevin was born on October 28, 2001 to Nikolas and Dulce West of Nampa, Idaho. Kevin is survived by his father Nikolas West, mother Dulce West and brothers Michael and Angel, his paternal grandparents Sherrill (Michael) Beattie, maternal grandma Maria D’Carmen Sigala; widow of Estrada, his paternal aunt Erika and husband Antonio Olmos, their children Jarin, Steven, Kaiya and AJ; who had become siblings with Kevin more than cousins. He is also survived by paternal aunts Sierra Beattie and family and Codi Beattie, maternal aunts Martha (Luis) Esperano and family, Maria Elizabeth (Moises) Mares and family, Raquel Estrada and Rodriguez family, paternal uncle Jordan Beattie and maternal uncle Mario Alberto (Silvia) Camacho and family and numerous cousins on both his father and mother’s side.
On behalf of Kevin, the family would like to thank Saint Luke's Hospice and their amazing medical team who cared for Kevin on more than just a physical level, specifically Rhea and Amanda’s devotion to make anything happen for Kevin, Astin and Jami’s unwavering stance for his well-being. Many more who came to know Kevin, could not help but feel an intrinsic motivation to do right by him. Another huge thanks to Dr. Wheaton for going above and beyond the meaning of doctor, showing Kevin he was an amazing kid who deserved the best. We would also like to thank Rebecka Means from Progressive Nursing for providing Kevin with exceptional personal care services while truly becoming part of the family. Kevin will forever and always be Becka’s princess. “Time goes on, but our hearts never forget. We love you.” Olmos Family “You will never be forgotten. FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS.” -Estrada Sigala Familia.
A viewing will be held at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell on Thursday March 7th from 6-8. Funeral services will be held at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell on Friday March 8th at 10:30. Graveside burial will follow at Parma Cemetery for family only.

Kevin, we thank God for allowing us to have shared special moments with you. You filled us with happiness and the illusion of sharing a bright future together. When you were younger, you told your Aunt Martha and Grandma Carmen that when you got older, you would study hard and buy us a big house one day. You can rest assured that we will be reunited in the house of God just like you wanted. Thank you so much for all the happiness and joy that you brought into our lives -Estrada Sigala Familia-
