Kathleen Anne Rhoades

Kathleen Anne Hogg Rhoades 66, was born on April 6, 1955 Nampa, Idaho to John and Lola Hogg of Sunny Slope. She was the youngest of four children.  She passed away April 12, 2021 St. Luke's Hospital in Boise of COVID 19 pneumonia.  She is survived by her siblings, Jim (Gail) Hogg of Weiser, Les (Tammy) Hogg of Boise and Margie (Lynn) Johnson of Lewiston, 5 nieces and nephews, several grandnieces and grandnephews and several dear cousins. She is also survived by stepson, Dannie Rhoades, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents,sister-in-law, Dorothy Hogg, grandparents, several cousins and all of her aunts and uncles. She is also survived by many dear friends, including Billie Keslar Hammond.

Kathy went to school in District 139, attending Sunny Slope and Huston Grade Schools and graduated from Vallivue High School in 1973.  She attended the College of Idaho and graduated from Boise State University.  Her work history included Falks, Idaho, Lerner Shops, Williamson Orchards, G and B Redi Mix and Henson's Dry Dock.

Kathy loved to have fun.  She played darts, games and loved to play in a ladies softball league and a bowling league. She was an avid fisher woman. She was a champion of every little kid that came along, including kids she babysat, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, grandchildren and finally great grandchildren.

Kathy would much rather have had us all go on a fishing trip to celebrate her life, but instead graveside services will be held at Canyon Hill Cemetery on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. and we will  all imagine that we are fishing with her.  Kathy wished that everyone would wear a mask to help protect the vulnerable.
