Judith Ann Garbarino

Judy Ann Garbarino passed away on January 4, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Judy was born on February 6th, 1940 in Reno, Nevada to Cecil and Elsie Kearns.

After graduating from Reno High School in 1958 Judy went into the medical profession as an x-ray tech. She was a x-ray tech for 54 years.

In 1960, she married Joe Garbarino and together they had a son, Shane.

Judy loved showing her dogs and horses all over the United States.

In 1979, the family bought a ranch in Idaho, where she worked at West Valley Medical Center and she started her dogs in herding trials. She raised Pembroke Welsh Corgis and herding trials became her passion. She met some of her best friends there. Many of her dogs became champion herding dogs.

Judy is survived by her husband Joe, son Shane (Dion) and granddaughter Tawnny.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and older brother Thomas Kearns.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, caregivers and especially friends that were there for her.

Judy requested no services to be held, but a celebration of life is to be held on Memorial Day weekend at her favorite herding trial in Gig Harbor, Washington.
