Judith Fae Boothe, known by friends as Judy, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2021 at the age of 78. She was born in May, 1943 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Blanche and George Robertson. She married Dennis Boothe of Sterling, Colorado in August,1966  and had two sons, Dustin and Joey.
She graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1961 then attended Indiana University for two years before graduating from the University of Wyoming in 1965. She met her husband, Dennis, in Sterling, CO and then married. She taught English and Journalism at Peetz High School in Peetz, CO before they started a family in 1971. Judy and Dennis moved to Nampa, Idaho in 1981 where they continued to raise their two young boys. Judy continued her education at  Boise State University and earned her Master’s in Education. She was a substitute teacher in the Nampa and Caldwell School districts before changing careers to work for the State of Idaho, Health and Welfare for 22 years helping place foster children in loving homes. Judy also loved traveling throughout North America and the world with trips to Mexico in college and many trips with her family and sorority sisters. Dennis and her both loved hot rodding with Judy riding shotgun on the many car cruises and to car shows throughout the northwest. 
Since retiring in 2008, Judy immersed herself in community service - working with Grace Episcopal Church in Nampa, The Indian Creek Museum in Caldwell and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Judy loved reading and studying history, especially Canyon County history. In retirement she also pursued writing. Under the pen name of Jae Boothe, she wrote three books about pioneer times in Canyon County (To Idaho with Love, A Dream of Idaho and Home Again to Idaho).
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Boothe; son, Dustin Boothe; son, Joey Boothe; and grandchildren Hailey and Amelia Boothe.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Janet Sherman and Joyce Boyce.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2021 at Grace Episcopal Church, 411 10th Ave. S. Nampa, ID.
