Josefina Soto, 73 departed her loving family on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in Nampa, Idaho. She was born March 18, 1947 in Auhuisculco, Jalisco Mexico to Remigio Soto Orosco and Francisca Miramontes Aranda. Josefina was well known within the Homedale Community as the owner of Cris y Fina’s Mexican store, which she owned and operated for close to 18 years and which she had retired from in 2019. She absolutely loved spending her time tending to her flowers and plants to ensure she had the most beautiful and colorful flowers on display during the summer.
Josefina is survived by her three daughters, Laura McCants, Sylvia Mehiel (Ron), and Nancy Sandoval (Regino) and her loving partner of over 30 years, Crispin Martinez. Her five grandchildren, which she absolutely adored: Ismael, Christian, Marissa, Samuel, and Julia and her brothers and sisters: Elena, Jose, Francisco, Jose Ascension, Luis, Jose Guadalupe, Esmeralda, and Margarita.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Remigio and Francisca, her brothers Pedro and Ramon, and sister Maria.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Nampa Idaho. A private burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.
