John Ray Bennett

Born in Julesburg, Co, John moved to Idaho as a toddler. He graduated from Vallevue High School in 1966. He served in the Army from April 1968 through November 1969, receiving an honorable discharge. Serving in Vietnam, he earned many medals including the Purple Heart.
Returning to Idaho he worked in farming, land leveling, construction and later became an owner/operator in the trucking industry.
He is survived by his wife Patty of Caldwell, mother Gloria Bennett of Middleton, brother Lynn (Diane) Bennett of Middleton, son Tad Bennett of Wyoming, Charles (Jessica) Bennett of McCall, Idaho, Brianne Patterson, Brandee (Aaron) Stone of Nampa, stepson Shawn McCall of Caldwell, one grandson and five granddaughters, with granddaughter number six due to arrive in May and nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father William Henry Bennett, sister Barbara Watts, daughter Brittany Nalley and stepson Scott McCall.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
