Jessie I Eskew

Jessie Eskew, longtime resident of Caldwell, died April 3, 2021 at the age of 96. She was born in Tryon, Nebraska and came to Idaho at the age of 18. She met Eugene Eskew here in Idaho and they were married in June of 1943. They raised four children while farming in the Caldwell area and she worked night shift at Simplots for 20 years to help pay college expenses for their children. Jessie crocheted over 200 afghans and gave them away, many were for babies. She loved her flowers and garden and spent many hours there.
Jessie lived independently up until the last several weeks.
She was preceded in death by her ten siblings and her husband. She was the last of her family.
Surviving are her four children, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell.
