Jerry Lynn Nielsen

Jerry Lynn Nielsen was born May 26, 1958 in Pocatello, Idaho to Dennis Niels and Marlene Cole Nielsen. He passed peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, Feb. 3, 2020. He and his wife live in Marsing, Idaho.

Jerry grew up in Boise Idaho and graduated from Boise High. He continued his education at BSU to earn an Associate Degree and work in the electrical field. He worked as an electrician for many years before having to give it up due to health issues. He moved to Arizona for a while but came home to Marsing Idaho to be close to family. He met Leslie Jones through mutual friends and was married for 16 years and had three children. He later met Tracy J. Robinson through his son, Josh, and has been married for almost 11years this July. He loved his family, golf, fishing, football, and serving others. He played the guitar and was well known for the “Jerry Shot”. He was always willing to help others, especially his parents and family.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy and children: Josh (Sarah), Ashlee (Jonathan) Florom, Cole (Brandy) and his stepchildren: Cynthia Robinson, Malinda Sprouse, Chasity Hance, and Casey (Phil) Waskoviak and 26 grandchildren. He is survived by his parents: Dennis Niels and Marlene Cole Nielsen. His siblings: Cindy Lou, Dennis Roy, Voss (Janie), Jeff (Ellen), Kelly (Melissa), and Sandee (Brandon) Fackrell. Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral will take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Marsing,ID, with a visitation at 9:30 a.m. Services will take place at 10:30 with Interment at the Marsing/Homedale Cemetery following.
