Jerry Lee Fenn passed away peacefully at home January 19, 2020, in the arms of his beloved wife and surrounded by his deeply loved children.
He was born in Pomerene Arizona, in 1938 to Arthur Brown Fenn and Mary Roberts Fenn, the 7th of 13 children.
Jerry attended school in Pomerene Arizona and Utah. He and his family moved to Idaho in 1956, where he began working for the JR Simplot Food Group. He worked there for over 45 years, interrupted by service in The United States Army, 1961-1967. He was very proud of his Army service.
Jerry married Karen Dickson in Reno, Nevada in 1969, later solemnized in the Idaho Falls temple. They have 6 children, 20 grandchildren and one great grand daughter.
Jerry was a very hard worker and was always busy. He loved to garden. He enjoyed making things grow and proudly bringing in armloads of fruits and vegetables.
He was always building as well. He spent much time rebuilding an old house to make it more habitable for his family on his 2 acre farm on Upper Pleasant Ridge Road west of Caldwell.
Jerry is survived by his wife, his children Jonathan Kay Fenn (Jamie) of Caldwell, Lisa Marie Barbier of Tacoma, Washington, Rebecca Lee Reutzel (Jerry) of Middleton, Edward Lee Fenn (Anne) of Pahrump,
Nevada, Mary Elizabeth Gibbons (Tim) of Idaho City, Jennifer Kay Reutzel (Bryan) of Middleton, Idaho, 20 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Jerry was a lifelong devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the son of five generations of faithful Saints. He often declared his faith was beyond faith; he KNEW the gospel is true and Jesus Christ is the Savior. His last request was to attend the temple.
His family is deeply grateful to Horizon Hospice for their tender care and devotion with special thanks to Amy, Lori, Becky, Rebecca and Kristen.
The family is also most grateful to his daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Jerry Reutzel for being his final caretakers.
