Jeffery Alan Marler, 68 of Caldwell, passed peacefully in his home on Saturday, September 9th, 2023. Jeff was born November 8th, 1954, at Travis Airforce Base in Vallejo California to Thomas and Joan Marler. Jeff moved as an infant to his parents hometown of Bonne Terre Missouri where he was reared and educated. He graduated from North County High School in 1974 where as an all-district honors football athlete he received a scholarship to play football at the College of Idaho. During his time in college one of his professors set him up on a blind date where he met the love of his life.
Jeff married Becky L Stattner on June 2nd, 1979, and from that union came two daughters Mandi and Megan.
In 1980 Jeff started his career at Darigold working his way up the ranks from unloading powdered milk off rail cars to being the plant manager in Boise. While building his career and raising his family he finished his bachelor’s degree in management and organizational leadership from George Fox University.
Jeff was an avid hunter and truly found his happiness “In the Hills”. Council and Bear Idaho will always hold a piece of his heart. You would never find him happier than on a 4-wheeler with his wife and 2 kids during the Idaho summers.
