Jeffery Lynn Miller, 55, of Nampa left to go fishing with the Master of the Sea on July 1, 2019 with his loving wife and their children by his side. Jeff was born on September 29, 1963 to Robert Miller Sr. and Peggy Ann Knapp Andrews in Nampa, Idaho.
Jeff was raised in Nampa, Idaho where he attending school, played sports and enjoyed the great outdoors. Upon graduation Jeff went to job corps and worked for Hoff Lumber. Jeff found his loves, Letha Snowball and her two amazing boys Clayton and Kenny, the four moved to Oregon. Jeff raised and loved the boys as his very own all the days of his life. Together they enjoyed many years of playing darts, watching the races at Meridian Speedway and built a foundation of strong family values the kids still walk on today. In 2004, Jeff’s life was enhanced by the birth of a beautiful little eskimo girl, Diamond, in Alaska that he would have and hold as his own only days after she was born. The love between a daddy and daughter is such a special relationship and Jeff treasured every second with his precious daughter.
In 1990, Jeff was hired by the Union Pacific and he became a locomotive engineer until retiring January 8, 2014 following a train accident. For years, Jeff enjoyed the back railways capturing many photos and making lifelong friends along the way. After retirement Jeff brought his family back home, to Nampa.
The ocean spoke to Jeff as he stood on the shores overlooking its miraculous beauty. He was an avid fisherman of all the bodies of water near and far and enjoyed crabbing on the ocean. He loved the outdoors especially when enjoying it with his wife, children and grandchildren. Weeks prior to his unexpected passing he planned a camping trip with the family in which he ordered a birthday cake with all their names on it to celebrate a birthday together since the boys and their families live in Utah. He will be greatly missed each and every day.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Letha, daughter, Diamond, sons; Clayton Snowball of Ogden, Utah and Kenny (Whitney) Snowball of Kearns, Utah, grandchildren; Haylee, Gabe, Kortney, Joe, Oaklee, Mckayla and many friends.
Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Robert Miller Sr. and his beloved mother, Peggy Ann Knapp Andrews. There was not a day since her passing in 2011 that Jeff did not miss her. What a reunion that must have been.
A viewing will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Dakan Funeral Chapel, 504 S. Kimball Avenue, Caldwell, Idaho 83605 from 2-3 p.m. followed by a memorial service.
