Tribute

In Loving Memory of James R. Clark

James “Jim” Raymond Clark, Of Arvada, Colorado went home on May 25, 2021. Jim was born August 5, 1960 in Nampa, Idaho. He then lived in Boise until his family moved to the farm north of Middleton. Jim graduated from Middleton High School in 1978 and then graduated from NNU in Nampa in 1982 with a computer science degree. Jim also attended the Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri in the early 1980’s.
Jim met Julie, the mother of his children at a youth convention in Brisbane, Australia in 1983. They married in May 1984. Their two sons, Kevin born 1994, and Andrew born 1996, brought great joy to Jim’s life. Jim and Julie lived 14 years together in Adelaide, Australia, then Boise, Idaho, and finally in Denver, Colorado. They remained close through all the years since.
Jim later met and married Margo Thomas Clark in 2005. They lived together for 10 years in Arvada, Colorado. Jim and Margo traveled extensively while together and remained good friends until the end.
Jim spent many years in the computer industry including Lucent Technologies. Most of Jim’s last 30 years he spent self-employed as the CEO of various computer related companies where Jim became the lead character of his story. He personally developed many patent pending technologies including digital “watermarks” to protect copywrited materials. But more importantly, through it all Jim always remained kind and thoughtful to all.
Jim enjoyed camping and boating and loved all of the outdoors. This passion for the outdoors brought him back to farming which he had done the past two years. Right before Jim passed he had planned on moving back with his brother Jay to farm with him at the same farm in Middleton where they grew up together many years before.
Jim is survived by his former wife, Julie Clark, and their two sons, Kevin (Catisha) Coburn and Andrew Clark. He is also survived by his former wife, Margo Thomas; his father, John Clark; his five brothers and sisters, Marilyn Clark, Scott Clark, Jay Clark, Camille (Jerry) Harris, and Judy (Bryan) Appleby. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jim is proceeded in death by his mother, Connie Clark, and his grandparents.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at Deer Flat Church on Monday, June 7th, 2021 at 3 pm, with graveside services to follow at Middleton Cemetery. Arrangements made by Dakan Funeral Chapel.
