James was born on December 11, 1946 to Arthur and Dolores (Young) Kropp in O’Neill, Nebraska. James graduated from Ewing Public School and enlisted in the United States Navy. He served his country proud for 4 1/2 years as a Naval Air Technician. On October 3, 1970, he was united in marriage to Mardelle Koehlmoos of Pilger, Nebraska. They made their home in Nebraska and Idaho where they had 2 children Renae and Brian. James owned a Pivot Irrigation business and loved to go fishing and hunting. James is survived by his beloved wife, Mardelle of 51 years, daughter Renae Evins and his son Brian and wife Amy Kropp.
James leaves behind his grandchildren Savanah and Waylon Evins of New Plymouth, Idaho.
Abbie Johnson of Boise, Idaho, Brandon Kropp of Fruitland, Idaho and Brittany Kropp of Weiser, Idaho.
James also leaves behind 2 other step-grandchildren and 1 step-great grandson.
He is also survived by his sister, Sharon and husband Jim Araji of Golden, Colorado; brothers, Richard and wife Sue Kropp of Omaha, Nebraska and brother Tim and wife Diane Kropp of Belview, Nebraska.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jack and Max Kropp.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2021 at Dakan Funeral Chapel.
