Helynne Lucille Daily

Helynne L. Daily, 94, of Caldwell, died Friday, May 17, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Dakan Funeral Chapel with a viewing one hour before. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com.
Helynne Lucille Daily was born on August 20, 1924 in Boone, Iowa. On September, 1941 she married my father, George Lee Daily and was happily married for 34 years. Together they had three children, George Curtis Daily, Michael Francis Daily and Deborah Ruth Martin. She also had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and she loved us all dearly.
She had such great faith in our Lord and Savior and called on His name frequently. There was no doubt He was her rock. She constantly prayed for her entire family for safety and health, but most of all that they would come to know the Lord. And her biggest wish, other then her being united with Jesus in heaven, is that she would eventually be united with all her family there as well.
Going through her baby book, my grandmother noted that she was such a good natured child, which I feel continued through her life. One thing my grandmother stated was that she liked being fussed over. That was so shocking to me because I never saw this in my mother. She was a pretty independent woman for as long as she could be. She enjoyed people, but wasn't much for being fussed over and certainly didn't want to be a burden to anyone. Another thing grandmother said was that she could have a temper and mind of her own. I have to say I never remember my mother having a temper. However, a mind of her own was frequently on display. A stubborn woman she could be!
Helynne was a good and faithful servant and played the piano for many, many years at church and always honored God first. I am sure she has many crowns right now.
We miss her immensely, but I know she is where she has wanted to be for far too long and that is in the arms of Jesus and surrounded by her loved ones and friends that have gone on before her.
And, someday, we will join her. We love you momma!!!!
