Harold Duff Puri passed away peacefully on June 17, 2021, at the age of 69, in Boise, ID. His battle with medical issues and chronic severe pain in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges. Despite the pain, Harold stayed as strong as possible until the end.
Harold had a deep love for cooking, gardening, and music, most specifically playing his Ovation guitar. He took great pride in his craft, making delicious meals for all to enjoy, and loved to spend time tending and perfecting his flowers and yard.
Harold’s passions allowed him to participate in life in a variety of roles and ways. He was a son, brother, husband, father, papa (most importantly), uncle, and friend. He was an avid sportsman, Air Force Serviceman, Idaho and Colorado Air National Guardsman, Bible School graduate, Youth Pastor, Interim Pastor, General Manager of a family-owned prefinished molding company, City Councilman, Mayor, and overall craftsman. He had a quirky sense of humor which was evident even until the end.
Harold was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly, mother, Beth, and his father, Surinder. He is survived by his wife, 2 children, Mary Beth, and Jason (Kelse), grandchildren Jason Jr. and Kimber, stepchildren Matt and Christa (and their families), his brother Shawn (Elaine), Aunt Nancy, cousins, nieces, nephews and those who lovingly claimed him as family.
Harold will be honored with A Celebration of Life service held on July 16, 2021 @ 10:30 am in Caldwell, ID at Dakan Funeral Chapel.
